Prisma now has cropping and filter blending
Despite a few hiccups and launch
hurdles, one thing is for sure, Prisma hit quick and hit hard with its artsy
photo app. So much so, that third-party developers have also been rushing with
competing products, like Alter and Artisto. The latter have even managed to top
the original with custom filters and video editing, so Prisma has to keep
working hard to stay on top.
We already know video
support is in the works but in the meantime, the latest Prisma update
offers a few other extra features to be excited about. Both the Android and iOS
apps can now crop photos. Also, you can adjust the level of blend between the original
photo and the filtered version.
Probably best of all, Prisma is
now much snappier and more responsive. The dreaded slow-downs and errors at
launch seem to be all cleared up. We can't really say whether this is thanks to
some software optimization, server expansion or simply the passing initial
hype. Regardless, if you haven't tried Prisma yet, now is a great time to
experience it in full. Hopefully, custom filters will be coming in the future
as well.
